Recommended Reading:

This is a a very readble book that tackles the size of the universe and the size of a proton, and how we came to hold the ideas we hold about them now.

Recommended Reading:

Just as lovely as the Interpreter of Maladies.

Finished:

I bought this for a plane ride. Complete froth.

Recommended for Mothers to Be:

Both of these books have been good references. I can skip over parts that don't apply to me and read chapter by chapter/month by month looking ahead to see what is coming.

Other Mother Reading:

This book was fun, but maybe not a must read. I'm not sure I'm a "girlfriend". Oddly during my first trimester I felt nauseated whenever I picked up this book. It may not be the book's fault. I am, afterall, pregnant.
I did really like the chapter about what was necessary to buy and what could be skipped.

And Even More Mother Reading:

I enjoyed reading this book about calming babies by simulating the womb environment. I dont feel I can really weigh in on the book until I try it with my baby.

Recommended for Travelers:

This was perfect for our latest trip to Hawaii. It's breezy and funny, and gives great advice on what to see and do from a very local perspective, although big touisty things are covered as well. Using the book we were able to check out a few secluded spots with the aid of 4WD. If you are planning a trip to the Big Island you must read this book.

Recommended Reading:

Pam's book was a wonderful beach read in Hawaii. Even if you aren't planning on going to a beach this winter, go ahead and pick it up.

Finished:

When I bought this book the cashier said, "They made this into a television show." I replied, "They sure did!" Then she said, "It sure wasn't on very long."
Oh well.

Abandoned For Now:

Yeah. It's full of sex and Paris and bedbugs. I'll just have to come back to it.

Recommended Reading:

I love to reread this book when the air turns crisp.

Finished:

Actually finished a while back, though it did take a long time. It wasn't really for me, but I was determined to reach the end.

'All sorts of people gather in this town for the feast. Among them
there are magicians, astrologers, diviners and murderers,' the procurator
spoke in monotone, `and occasionally also liars. You, for instance, are a
liar. It is written clearly: "Incited to destroy the temple". People have
testified to it.'

These good people,' the prisoner spoke and, hastily adding `Hegemon',
went on: '... haven't any learning and have confused everything I told them.
Generally, I'm beginning to be afraid that this confusion may go on for a
very long time. And all because he writes down the things I say
incorrectly.'
